Position: Personal Care Assistant required in Heworth £14 per hour

Personal Care Assistant required in Heworth, York. Salary: £14 per hour.

Regular work with up to 10 flexible hours per week. The 25 hours support needed every week is organised on a rota basis, taking into account availability and other commitments.

Working Arrangements

The role is to work directly for a client in a modern house in Heworth. You will be directed by the client at all times and expected to support the client in daily life activities.

Responsibilities Main Duties

On a daily basis
- Mornings – Dressing, breakfast preparation (approx. 1 hour around 7:30 am weekdays)
- Dinner times – Meal preparation (approx. 1 hour around 6 pm)
- Evenings – Undressing, showering, etc. (approx. 1 hour around 9:30 pm)
On a weekly basis
- Shopping
- Collecting, carrying, putting away items
- Social activities, swimming (getting changed)
- Changing duvet cover / sheets
- Washing / drying clothes, putting clothes away
- Cleaning / gardening / baking

There is a lot of variety in the job and it has been found both enjoyable and rewarding.

Training & Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required. Training will be provided and practical guidance arranged as needed.
