Payroll Officer; FTC

Position: Payroll Officer (6 month FTC)
Location: South Yorkshire

As a Payroll Officer on a 6-month fixed-term contract, you'll handle the day-to-day payroll processes to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Based in Goldthorpe, this role is key to maintaining the smooth running of payroll operations in the industrial and manufacturing sector.

Description

Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Handle payroll queries and provide clear resolutions to employees.
Ensure accurate calculations of tax, pensions, and other deductions.
Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end reporting.
Assist in audits by providing relevant payroll documentation.
Update payroll systems with changes such as new starters, leavers, and salary adjustments.
Support the team with any additional payroll-related tasks as required.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

Experience in processing payroll in a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Job Offer

Salary of £27,945.
6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
