Cloud Engineer (Azure) - 6 Month Contract - Leeds Inside IR35 - Hybrid (2- 3 days per week onsite)
We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a critical enterprise Cloud Platform team supporting a large-scale Azure environment. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on platform support, cloud operations, infrastructure reliability, and ongoing Azure platform improvements. You'll be joining a team responsible for core cloud services, so we're looking for someone who is technically strong, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a highly available enterprise environment.
Whatyou'll be doing
- Azure platform engineering and operational support
- Solution design and cloud infrastructure support
- Monitoring cloud services and resolving incidents
- Managing Azure landing zones and platform governance
- Supporting networking, security, and major platform upgrades
- Participating in an on-call support rota (less than 1 in
4)
- Strong Microsoft Azure experience
- Excellent Terraform skills
- Experienced coder(Cloud)
- Experience with Git Hub and Azure Dev Ops
- Azure Policy expertise
- Solid understanding of cloud security
- Networking and troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira
- Azure Firewall
- New Relic or other observability tools
- Fin Ops exposure
- Containerisation experience
- Azure AI Foundry or AI-related cloud services
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Azure engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems and working within a highly critical cloud environment.
