A progressive and growing law firm in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Commercial & Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding Dispute Resolution team.
This is a great opportunity for an NQ to 2 years' PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to build their experience across a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, working closely with an experienced Partner within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied caseload of predominantly commercial litigation matters
- Advise on contractual disputes, director and shareholder disputes, partnership disputes and debt recovery
- Deal with professional negligence, business torts, construction disputes and contentious property matters
- Represent clients through litigation, mediation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and settlement agreements
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients
- Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales
- NQ to 2 years' PQE with experience in commercial litigation
- Good knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution
- Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
- Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions focused approach
- Excellent communication and client care skills
