Wiring Technician

Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Wiring Technician for a 3-month contract to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day‑to‑day electro‑mechanical assembly, building sub‑assemblies and complete systems as per the drawings and build procedures.

• Fully onsite in Tring, Hertfordshire.
• 3 month initial contract.
• £25-£28.57 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35
• Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basis security checks ahead of starting.

• Panel wiring
• Cabling assembly and crimping
• Rack wiring
• PCB assembly
• Assembly and re‑work of components
• Wiring test boxes
• Soldering, including through hole and surface mount components
• Managing the security of information in accordance with the Information Security Policy

The role involves working within a small team to produce high‑quality satellite communications equipment to the required standards and timescales. You will continuously monitor product quality during the build process to improve upon production performance targets.

• Experience in electrical/mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards with minimal supervision
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures
• Creative thinker and eager learner
