We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a busy manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and equipment through planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Maintain and repair a range of equipment, including:
- Overhead cranes and jibs
- Plasma and gas cutting machinery
- Sawing and drilling equipment
- Welders and grinders
- Forklifts and side loaders
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Organise and supervise subcontractors where required
- Work independently and take ownership of maintenance tasks
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with in a manufacturing or industrial environment
