Production Manager, Manufacturing, Furniture Brand

48K-53K + Benefits | Full Time On Site

West Yorkshire - commutable from Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield

Reporting to the H/O Operations

We're looking for a talented, driven Production Supervisor ready to step up into the Production Manager role to lead and grow the production function of a premium furniture brand. Working within a bespoke manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for delivering production plans safely and efficiently to the high-quality standards while embedding lean thinking and continuous improvement across the business. You'll champion a strong team culture and inspire a skilled, passionate workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop your production teams to achieve consistently high standards of performance, quality, and safety
  • Plan and manage production schedules and resources to meet delivery targets on time and in full
  • Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing methodologies and efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure quality and compliance through robust SOPs, 5S practices, and ISO standards
  • Work cross-functionally with Warehouse, Purchasing, and NPD teams to support smooth production flow and new product launches
  • Oversee equipment and maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and protect output
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in management in production or equivalent leadership role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Confident people leader with the ability to communicate clearly across functions and seniority levels
  • Experience leading teams of 5 or more in a production or manufacturing setting
  • Background in bespoke or custom product environments desirable
  • Expertise in Manufacturing, or Production Management (HNC/D, degree, or equivalent)
  • Experience implementing or maintaining ISO standards across Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety
