The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining CAD/CAM programs and manufacturing documentation to support efficient production output across both bespoke and standard products. This is a varied position combining design, programming and manufacturing support within a fast-paced production environment. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing CAD/CAM programs for manufacturing Creating and modifying Solid Works drawings and models Programming CNC machinery using Tru Tops Boost Creating and maintaining BOMs and production documentation Supporting bespoke sheet metal manufacturing requirements Reviewing drawings and ensuring manufacturability Working closely with production and technical teams Supporting continuous improvement within manufacturing processes Assisting with production efficiency and workflow improvements Candidate Requirements To be considered for the role, candidates should have experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment and demonstrate strong CAD/CAM capability.
Essential Experience Solid Works experience Tru Tops Boost experience CNC programming knowledge Sheet metal manufacturing experience Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment
Desirable Experience AutoCAD knowledge Laser cutting machinery experience Punch press experience Guillotine machinery exposure Fabrication/manufacturing process understanding Personal Attributes The business is looking for someone who is:
Practical and hands-on Detail focused Adaptable and flexible Comfortable working at pace Able to work independently A strong team player Confident communicating with production teams Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 9:00am 5:00pm Friday: 9:00am 4:30pm Salary & Benefits £35,000 - £37,000 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension Private healthcare Laptop provided Ongoing training and development opportunities Additional Information This is a growth position within the business due to increasing workload and production demand.
The company is currently operating from Bedfordshire with future plans to relocate to the Shefford area, so candidates should be comfortable with this longer-term transition. Immediate interviews available.
