We're recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator / CNC Machinist to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Pickering. Training Period
Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm
Approx. 6 months
£17.92 per hour
Permanent Day Shift
4 on / 4 off rotation
6:30am - 6:00pm
44 hours per week
£18.65 per hour
£35 day shift allowance per shift (paid when worked and during holidays)

The Role
As a CNC Operator, you'll play a key role in the production of precision-engineered components, ensuring quality, efficiency and safety standards are consistently met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting and operating high-speed CNC machines including milling, drilling, tapping and grinding equipment
Preparing tooling, fixtures and CNC programs for production
Loading materials and monitoring machine performance
Carrying out basic CNC program edits and tool table management
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
Maintaining tooling, cutters and machine consumables
Completing production documentation and quality checks
Working with 3-axis and 4-axis machining centres and Renishaw probing systems
Following all health, safety and quality procedures
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Setter or CNC Machinist
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Commitment to producing high-quality work
