A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter with expertise in applying protective coatings specific standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply industrial coatings to components and structures requiring C3 to C5 corrosion protection.
- Operate a range of spray application equipment, including:
- Airless spray systems
- Air-assisted airless spray systems
- Conventional pressure pot spray guns
- Mix and apply two-pack coating systems, including epoxy primers, ensuring optimal adhesion, durability, and finish quality.
- Carry out surface preparation, masking, and finishing activities to a high standard.
- Inspect completed coatings and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Industrial Spray Painter within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Strong practical experience using airless, air-assisted airless, and conventional pressure pot spray equipment.
- Sound knowledge of two-pack paint systems and epoxy primers.
- Experience applying coatings for C3 to C5 environmental classifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Working Hours
This role is based on a 40-hour working week, with both day and afternoon shift patterns available:
Days
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am - 2:30pm
Afternoons
- Monday to Thursday
- 2:00pm - 12:30am
- Includes a 20% shift allowance
The business is closed on Bank Holidays and operates a Christmas shutdown period through to the New Year.
