General Practice Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated General Practice Nurse to join our team at MyHealth, ideally someone with GP experience and a prescriber. This role is vital in delivering high standards of patient care and supporting our mission to keep the community healthy and informed.

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a general practice setting.
• Assist with chronic disease management, including hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory conditions.
• Administer vaccinations as prescribed (Child/Adult).
• Conduct health assessments.
• Offer public health advice.
• Provide advice on diet, contraception, and travel immunisations.
• Perform wound dressings and assessments.
• Support nurse‑led clinics and contribute to health promotion activities.
• Meet QOF targets.
• Participate in practice meetings, initiatives, and compliance activities.
• Follow protocols and appropriate guidance.
• Demonstrate willingness to develop and keep up to date with CPD.
• Adhere to IPC standards.

• Registered Nurse qualification with valid registration.
• General Practice experience preferred.
• Prescriber desirable.
• Smear taker desirable.
• Excellent patient care skills and compassionate approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of chronic disease management desirable.
