We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Strensall, York, YO32 5SW
. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service across the site.

• £12.71 per hour
• 30 hours per week working 5 days over 7 (including some weekends)

• Pot washing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and food preparation areas
• Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors throughout the catering operation
• Cleaning dining areas and ensuring they remain presentable at all times
• Assisting with general housekeeping duties across the site
• Supporting the wider catering team with operational tasks as required
• Following health & safety, food safety, and company procedures at all times
• Helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and hardworking approach to work
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexible approach and willingness to undertake a variety of duties
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Full training will be provided, so previous experience is not essential

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
• BPSS security clearance will be required prior to commencing employment.
