Customer Service Assistant

Overview

Whatever your role in and around the store, everything you do will be focused on the customer experience. Parking will be a breeze, trolleys in easy reach, help always at hand, stock in the right place, deliveries out on time and payment met with a smile. Of course, while you’re creating a helpful and friendly customer experience, we’ll be thinking of new ways to reward, develop and invest in you.

You’ll receive all the training, support and opportunities you need. Think of it as a down‑to‑earth place to work, where you get to go up in the world.

This is a 32‑hour per week position. We are looking for someone who is motivated, customer‑focused and enjoys working as part of a team.

Fully flexible: 5‑day out of a 7‑day rota, typically 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day each week. Shift patterns will vary, so flexibility and reliability are essential.

Significant amount of manual handling and heavy lifting; candidates should be comfortable carrying out physical tasks as part of their day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Will undertake Forklift Truck (FLT) training and become qualified to support the wider store operation when required.

As part of the team, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the store remains welcoming, well‑stocked and ready to serve customers every day. You will be dealing with and assisting customers, offering a high level of customer service and supporting store operations.

• Pay per hour: £12.71 for 21+ years, £12.00 for 18‑20 years, £8.82 for under 18 years.
