Position: Sales Manager, Sales Director Designate – Manufacturing Company

Remuneration Package: Up to £75k base salary DOE. £120k OTE. Opportunity for equity participation.

A well‑established and growing manufacturing business that specialises in point‑of‑sale display equipment is looking for an ambitious, motivated Sales Manager, Sales Director Designate to take the lead in reinvigorating its sales function and driving the next phase of growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys both winning business and building high‑performing teams. You will play a key role in shaping the sales strategy, developing customer relationships, and helping to train and grow a successful sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and energise the sales function across the business.
  • Develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of the sales team.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Analyse and report on key sales KPIs and performance metrics, using data‑driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
About You
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully selling into large multi‑site retailers i.e. national retailers, garden centre groups and smaller retail outlets.
  • Background in manufacturing, timber, building materials, or a related sector would be advantageous.
  • A motivated individual who can inspire and lead a team to achieve strong results.
  • Solid understanding of, and genuine interest in, data‑driven lead generation strategies and tools.
  • Well‑versed in sales KPIs and performance metrics, with a data‑driven approach to tracking and improving results.
  • Strong ability to analyse, measure, and optimise lead generation channels to maximise performance and ROI.
  • Experience leading high‑performing sales or business development teams.
