Position OverviewWe are looking for a passionate Outreach Mentor who is ready to inspire, motivate and empower young people to overcome barriers and succeed. This is not a typical mentoring role. You will become a trusted mentor, role model, advocate and guide, helping young people develop the skills, resilience, and confidence they need to progress into education, employment, and independence.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one and small-group mentoring sessions often in the community or in the young person’s home.
- Help young people manage challenges and develop positive behaviours.
- Support young people with their wellbeing.
- Deliver a pre‑agreed curriculum, including Functional Skills Maths & English, Art, Change Workshops, and Careers sessions. Work with young people from Pre‑Entry Level to Level 2.
- Create high‑quality teaching materials and schemes of work that motivate and challenge each young person. Provide clear marking, feedback, and guidance.
- Follow safeguarding, lone working and child protection procedures.
- Input accurate information on internal systems such as CPOMS.
- Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, de‑escalate challenging situations, and promote positive behaviour.
Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to the welfare of learners. Successful applicants will need to undertake a DBS Enhanced Clearance check (Disclosure and Barring Service) and complete a Self Disclosure.
