Job Title: Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application
ResponsibilitiesProvide expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.
Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
Manage and support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration between psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees, contributing to their professional development.
Engage in regular MDT meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment strategies.
Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance CAMHS service effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Relevant previous experience in a similar position.
- Section 12/RC approval is essential.
- Approved clinician status desirable but not essential.
