Rate: 22.52/HR Umbrella
Summary
- This role involves a 3-month contract with a local authority offering a rate of 22.52 per hour under an umbrella arrangement. The primary objective is to aid in the provision of highway maintenance services by performing road marking and line painting tasks throughout the highway network. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialized road marking machinery and vehicles ensuring safe working environments through effective traffic management and helping to maintain road safety and compliance for all users.
Responsibilities
- Utilize company vehicles to travel to and from work locations.
- Apply thermoplastic and paint road markings across the highway network.
- Execute line painting tasks in accordance with highway standards and specifications.
- Operate specialized road marking equipment machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Establish monitor and dismantle traffic management systems and secure work zones.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Complete all tasks in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Promptly report any defects hazards or incidents.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues contractors and other highway service teams.
- Assist with highway maintenance activities and emergency response operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in highway maintenance road marking construction or a similar outdoor operational setting.
- Proficiency in using plant machinery tools or specialized equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Experience in working collaboratively within a team to deliver operational services.
- Qualifications:
- Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant Traffic Management qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Training in health and safety awareness.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable.
Additional Information
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Times:
- 07:30 16:15 (8 hours with a 30-minute break)
- 16:00 00:30 (8 hours with a 30-minute break)
- Payment
Schedule:
Bi-weekly
