Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Cleaner / FLT Driver to join our team. This is a varied role predominantly involving warehouse cleaning whilst also supporting the warehouse with forklift truck operation as and when required and general warehouse duties to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth running of daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the warehouse, operating forklift trucks safely, and supporting warehouse activities including stock handling and general housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Cleaning- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the warehouse, yard, and welfare facilities.
- Sweep, mop, and clean warehouse floors and work areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Isolating and cleaning of machines.
- Emptying of skips.
- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to lift, move, transport and stack materials throughout the warehouse.
- Check stock for quality and quantity, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and warehouse documentation.
- Operate warehouse and production equipment where trained and authorised to do so.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment across warehouse and production areas.
- Report any operational issues, obstacles or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and undertake other tasks as reasonably requested by the line manager.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Report accidents, near misses and hazardous situations immediately.
- Only operate equipment for which you have received appropriate training and authorisation.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and workplace cleanliness.
- Attend training sessions as required and comply with all company procedures and standards.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach and contribute positively to team performance.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence/certificate (Double Handler preferred).
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude.
