Accounting Manager; Group Accounting

This is a critical phase of growth for the company, with increasing complexity across revenue streams, contracts, and entities. We are investing in the finance function to ensure accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence as we expand.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support group level accounting operations across our portfolio of music companies. This role will focus primarily on core accounting functions including month end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities.

While this role will have exposure to royalty and music specific accounting, the primary focus is on building and maintaining strong accounting foundations across the group. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting in a fast paced environment.

This is an ideal role for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who is interested in gaining deeper exposure to the music industry and royalty based business models.

• Support accounting operations across multiple entities within the group
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and account reconciliations
• Prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
• Financial Operations
• Track and reconcile key revenue and expense streams
• Support cash flow tracking and basic financial analysis
• Assist in maintaining accounting policies and internal controls
• Royalty & Music Accounting Support
• Assist with royalty data processing and reconciliations using Curve
• Support preparation of artist and partner reporting as needed
• Help ensure accuracy of revenue flows tied to music catalogs
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with A&R, Marketing, and Operations to ensure complete financial data
• Support translation of deal terms into financial tracking where required
• Respond to internal requests and assist with financial inquiries
• Process & Systems
• Design and improve systems that can scale with growth
• Build documentation, SOPs, and internal controls
• Identify automation and workflow improvements

Required:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience (industry experience is a plus, not required)
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, or similar)
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles (GL, reconciliations, close process)
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to music, media, or royalty-based businesses
• Experience with Curve or similar royalty platforms
• Familiarity with revenue recognition in digital or subscription-based models
• Understanding of basic music industry concepts (masters, publishing, etc.)
