Application InformationHIPPY is a unique and proven education system that provides Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY). It is an evidence‑based program that is based in the home to support vulnerable and isolated moms in their critical role as their child's first and most important teacher. Parents are provided weekly learning material that will help prepare children ages 3-5 for school.
DUTIES- Schedule and attend home visits with each client on a weekly basis
- Visit participating parents for the purpose of modelling relationship building activities that parents can do with their child(ren)
- Participate in the planning and execution of group meetings, including role‑playing the current week's activities and the implementation of an enrichment activity
- Participate in ongoing professional development training and other staff development activities, as designated by the HIPPY Coordinator
- Attend weekly check‑in meetings with the HIPPY Coordinator to discuss client overall family successes, difficulties, and program development
- Assist in the recruitment of families to the program
- Timely completion and submission of required reports and other documentation
- Participate in all HIPPY sponsored activities (field trips, child graduation, group meetings/conversation groups)
- Data entry
- Able to read, write and speak in the English Language (CLB 5 or
6) - Proficient computer skills
- Some knowledge of the Canadian school system preferred
- Fluency in second language is considered an asset
- Must have valid Saskatchewan Driver license and a reliable vehicle as this position requires to travel
This is a 0.5 Term position; 18.75 hours/week;
Sept 2026-Mar 2027
