Senior Hoist Engineer in Esterhazy

Leverage your expertise as a Senior Hoist Engineer with Insight Global for a prominent fertilizer and mining company in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on hoisting systems, shaft infrastructure, and safety compliance.
In this 12-month contract role, you will provide technical leadership and engineering authority for underground potash mining operations. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining hoisting systems, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and closely collaborating with Operations and Regulatory teams. Your contributions will ensure the reliability and integrity of critical shaft assets, supporting production continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and install mine hoisting ropes and conveyance systems

• Execute full hoisting system engineering calculations

• Oversee hoisting operations within regulatory compliance

• Implement risk‑based inspection and lifecycle management programs

• Ensure safety standards for hoisting and mining operations
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering discipline

• 15-20+ years of underground mining experience

• Expertise in drum and Koepe hoists

• Compliance and regulatory inspection experience

• Strong background in shaft rehabilitation and upgrades
