Public Health Inspector Position

Become a Public Health Inspector in Yorkton, starting July 2026. This full-time temporary position focuses on public health inspection services and collaborative investigations.

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Public Health Inspection Program, you will assist in improving public health strategies and fulfilling inspection duties as prescribed by the Public Health Act. The role mandates working with a Medical Health Officer and provides an opportunity for HSAS members to lead in health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement public health inspection services

• Oversee investigations under the guidance of a Medical Health Officer

• Fulfill statutory responsibilities as a Public Health Officer

• Enforce tobacco regulations when needed

• Work in collaboration with public health teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license

• Required certification: CPHI(C)

• Membership in CIPHI is essential

• Ability to travel for inspections
