Maintenance Assistant at WDM

Support the WDM Yorkton as a Maintenance Assistant, ensuring the upkeep of the facility’s grounds and equipment. This full-time seasonal role offers a competitive wage and requires occasional weekend work.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will report to the Museum Manager and maintain the aesthetic and safety of the grounds and building. Among your key duties, you will perform grounds maintenance, assist with event setups, and conduct safety checks.

Your role is integral in creating a welcoming environment for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain grounds through grass cutting and weeding

• Perform custodial duties for the building and shop area

• Conduct general maintenance on tools and equipment

• Assist in setting up and dismantling events

• Complete safety checks while documenting findings

Requirements:

• Self-motivated with independent working skills

• Knowledge of grounds maintenance preferred

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license needed

• Basic computer literacy for WHMIS certification

• Availability for weekends and holidays
