Enjoy shift work? and more time off? Join us at Grain Millers! Our Yorkton Facility is hiring an Industrial Packaging Operator. This is a permanent position and requires shift work (12‑hr modified shift schedule), including nights and weekend shifts.

We are one of North America’s premier oat milling companies that supplies customers locally and globally. Our plants are located across North America with our Canadian headquarters in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
The Industrial Packaging Operator is a member of the Industrial Packing team and carries out all duties and responsibilities of the department as required. This position will operate various lines in our warehouse, including automated and semi‑automated bagging lines, automated palletizers, flour packaging lines and tote handling. The operator will conduct metal detector tests and other checks as part of our GMP program, complete all paperwork and summaries of packing activities, and assist other members of the packaging team with day‑to‑day tasks or responsibilities.
EssentialQualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledgeable and capable of operating complex packaging lines
- Previous experience in food manufacturing/packaging may be preferred
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Saskatchewan forklift operator certificate
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry, etc.)
- Must be able to perform physical tasks repetitively, such as climbing ladders/stairs, lifting 50 lbs, and working 12‑hour shifts
- Must be able to work in a grain processing environment that exposes staff to allergens such as grain and grain dust
- Must be comfortable working at heights
