Our plants are located across North America with our Canadian headquarters in Yorkton, Saskatchewan

We are accepting applications for a permanent full-time Cleaning Plant Operator. This position requires shift work (12-hr Modified shift schedule), including Nights and weekend shifts. This position will be reporting to the Mill superintendent or designate.

Grain cleaning is critical and the first step in the milling process. This position is responsible for operating grain cleaning and de-hulling equipment in our state-of-the-art oat milling facility. Cleaning Operator is responsible for operating both mills on site. This includes prevention of the direct loss of the good grain and screening impurities from the product. Responsibilities also include monitoring all process equipment for efficiencies and maintenance purposes as well as ensuring production quality timetables are met.

All duties and responsibilities must be completed while ensuring compliance with OH&S and food safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and capable of running complex Milling equipment.
  • Previous experience working in a mill/grain handing facility.
  • Knowledge of Gluten free grain handing practices and procedures.
  • Good math, analytical and mechanical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (word, excel, data entry, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced grain processing environment with Grain and grain dust.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces.
  • Must have the ability to detect visually or by odour, off-spec products such as colour, shape, size, etc.
