Position Overview
Bruno's Place is hiring 1 Casual Emergency Shelter Worker for the Emergency Shelter at Prairie Harvest Community Centre.
Work Schedule & Compensation12‑hour shifts: 7 pm to 7 am or 7 am to 7 pm. Salary: $19.00 per hour plus shift premiums for overnight and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities- Provide 24‑hour shelter services, including monitoring for safety and maintaining a supportive environment.
- Assist with janitorial duties, laundry, and basic food preparation.
- Use critical thinking and trauma‑informed care principles when interacting with residents.
- Stay available for overnight and weekend shifts, including short‑notice/on‑call coverage.
- Grade 12 education required.
- 7‑11 months of relevant experience, such as working with homeless adults or individuals facing mental health challenges and addictions.
- Computer skills.
- First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, and Naloxone certification.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada (outside applicants are not considered).
