Yorkton Kids First is seeking a compassionate, independent and creative Home Visitor who has an interest and a passion in making a difference in the lives of Yorkton families and children. This position provides the opportunity to create positive changes for families by providing research-based information; creating connections with community supports; and supporting family directed goal development.

Expectations:
- Establish and maintain a trusting relationship with families by providing continuous support through home visiting
- Meet families in the family home
- Use a strength-based approach while working with culturally diverse families
- Assist families in developing their own goals, objectives and activities that best meets their needs
- Assist families in the referral process to other programs or community supports
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain accurate records of home visits and electronic data collection
- Remain accountable to SIGN and support the program principles
- Be flexible with scheduling; may include occasional evenings and weekends
- Adopt a safe work approach
- Take direction and feedback from management and contribute to a healthy team environment
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent or certification and training appropriate to the position
- Experience working with children and families would be an asset
- Valid drivers license and access to a personal motor vehicle is required
- A recent (6 months or less), clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
