Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
The Mechanic (Hydraulic & All Terrain Equipment) is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles and machinery. This position oversees maintenance inspections, monitors inventory, assembles mechanical components, and performs repairs. The Mechanic operates as a hydraulic technician and is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic components on equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, vehicles
- Design a plan of action for all tasks and upgrades
- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
- Rotate and balance tires, maintain oil, filters, and fluids, lubricate parts, inspect and replace hoses and belts
- Reassemble machines and equipment
- Contain costs through the use of warranty claims and evaluate service and parts options
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as reading technical publications
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Mechanic
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Meet all physical requirements of the position
- Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
- 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Associate’s Degree or Vocational/Trade School Certification
- Welding Certifications
- ASE Certifications
- Fluid Power Certifications
- Class A CDL License
