Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a telecom services organization in Boardman, Ohio. This role blends accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is comfortable working across multiple accounting functions.

The right candidate will bring strong accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage recurring processes in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices by entering voucher information accurately and verifying documentation before payment.

- Review purchase records, receipts, and invoices to complete three-way matching and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Prepare payment batches, generate check runs, and issue checks according to established schedules.

- Reconcile company credit card activity and ensure transactions are coded and recorded correctly.

- Record customer payments, complete remote deposit activities, and maintain accurate receivable balances.

- Submit sales tax filings and post daily financial activity while balancing entries against supporting records.

- Enter employee time data, add new payroll information, and assist with payroll check preparation.

- Support routine accounting tasks using structured procedures while maintaining complete and organized financial records. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar accounting support position.

- Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, invoice processing, and payroll support.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains (GP) is required.

- Strong Excel skills with the ability to work efficiently in spreadsheets and financial records.

- High level of organization with a process-driven approach to recurring accounting tasks.

- Solid analytical ability and close attention to detail when reviewing financial transactions.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
