The YSU Department of Chemistry is comprised of 14 full-time faculty, 12 adjunct & part-time faculty, 5 staff members, over 100 majors in its BS and BA programs, and an active MS program with 20 students. The department is exceptionally well-equipped in research instrumentation and offers rich, hands-on 'learning through research' experience for its students. As part of the College of STEM, the department also participates in the YSU Ph.D. program in Materials Science & Engineering.
Position OverviewThe Chemistry Department is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching by semester for General Chemistry or other courses as needed.
ResponsibilitiesPlans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

- At least a Master's degree in Chemistry or closely related field.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Previous experience in teaching college-level Chemistry courses.
