The Multi‑Skilled Technician Instructor provides instruction for days or evenings for STNA/Phlebotomy and EKG classes. Duties include planning lessons, monitoring skills, assessing student progress on an ongoing basis, and collecting, recording and reporting all necessary information related to students in a timely manner.

• Flexibility with class times; available days or evenings and can work with your schedule.
• Teach the EKG/Phlebotomy curriculum certified through MedCA, and STNA curriculum according to Ohio Department of Health.
• Update curriculum to reflect best practices, lesson plans, and teaching materials to aid students in developing skills and confidence.
• Integrate computer‑aided instruction into lessons as appropriate.
• Teach hands‑on skills in the healthcare courses.
• Attend clinical sites with students and oversee for safety.
• Attend skills lab testing for safety of students and volunteers.
• Collect, record, and report all necessary information related to students.

• Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience working with adult and high school learners preferred.
• CPR certification and Bloodborne Pathogen certification.
• Active Train the Trainer certification to teach STNA (required) or need to obtain within 3 months of employment; paid by employer if needed.
• Registered Nurse with an active license for the state of Ohio.
• At least 2 years’ experience in nursing home setting (required) and hospital setting (preferred) with most recent experience within the last year.
• Ability to perform and teach an EKG test, venipuncture, and basic activities of daily living.
