Position: Floor Staff: $12.00/HR + Free Movie Perks

Job Overview

Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. They must act as a representative of Regal in a way consistent with our mission statement and policies, including:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling of emergency situations when called upon to do so
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with our company dress code
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons
  • Upsell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests consistently with our guest service philosophy
Concession
  • Operate POS system and manage cash, card, traveler checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare and clean all concession equipment
  • Upsell/suggestive selling
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with respect to breaks and/or meal periods
  • Ensure required alcohol certification/training are current where applicable
  • Must be of legal age if duties include selling/serving alcohol per state/local laws
  • Complete training on sexual harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stub, direct patrons to auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary
  • Enforce MPAA rating system
  • Conduct theatre inspections to monitor picture/sound quality, watch for film/content theft, and maintain safe environment
  • Report problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain cleanliness of restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education/

    Experience:

    Completed cast certification program as cast member and box office cashier, or progress towards completion.
  • Language Ability: Good public speaking, listen effectively, respond clearly and directly.
  • Math Ability: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, take action beyond what is necessarily called for, perform under pressure and/or opposition.
  • Personal

    Skills:

    Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers and management; establish goals, budget time, set priorities to achieve objectives.
Physical Demands
