Job Summary

Under the supervision of a radiologist/physician, performs MRI procedures, maintains records, and adheres to safety and documentation guidelines. Ensures quality patient care aligned with the hospital's mission and values.

Essential Functions

Perform MRI examinations, administer intravenous contrast, prepare equipment, and ensure safety. Keep areas stocked and clean.

Complete clerical duties and document patient care properly.

Collaborate with staff, maintain ethical relationships, assist in technique development, and support training of students or residents.

Operate and maintain MRI equipment, perform quality control, and record maintenance.

Adhere to work schedule, handle PTO, and be available for emergency call and coverage at other facilities within Mercy Health Youngstown.

Maintain competencies per guidelines.

Deliver excellent patient experience, demonstrating compassion and respect using Mercy Health tools and behaviors.

Minimum Education

Required:

Radiologic Sciences/MRI

Licensure and Certifications

Required:

ARRT(MR), ODH (if ARRT(R)), current BLS certification

Experience

Preferred: 2 years of MRI experience and detailed MRI knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to organize, verify, analyze data, operate complex equipment, and demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills across age groups.
