$50,000-$75,000/Year based on licensure

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

The position is primarily responsible for the provision of direct client care services. Master’s level professionals or Master’s students working through their internship, to work on a part‑time, to full‑time, basis. We provide individual and family counseling services in outpatient settings, schools and other community settings. Opportunities exist throughout multiple offices in Trumbull, Mahoning and Portage Counties.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate client needs for services in regard to appropriateness of request, urgency and recommended action, and facilitates all necessary referrals.
  • Conduct and write diagnostic assessments in order to assess the nature of the problem and establish medical necessity as well as other relevant health, social and mental health factors.
  • Develop and implement Individual Service Plans with the client based upon the findings of the diagnostic assessment.
  • Provide psychotherapy/counseling services to clients and significant others through individual, group, and/or family methods according to current professional standards of care.
  • Review and update Assessments, ISPs, and diagnoses to ensure continued provision of proper and necessary services, and modify the plan of treatment when appropriate.
  • Provide Community Support Program Services as defined in OAC .
  • At a minimum, achieve and maintain the Agency’s established productivity standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention, pre‑hospital screening, and/or emergency services on a priority basis “as needed.”
  • Make referrals to other services within the community and within the Agency as indicated.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in‑service training, supervision, various committees as assigned including Performance Improvement, workshops, and other meetings to receive information and instructions as well as to remain current and accurate on procedures, policies, and techniques. Serve on committees designed to develop/review policies and procedures.
  • Consult, collaborate, and communicate in a timely and accurate manner all client‑related issues and concerns internally to supervisory staff and externally to other agency service providers, schools, law enforcement agencies, courts, etc. in the provision of services to clients and to the community to ensure coordination of care.
  • Serve other departments, programs, and/or service locations, on a full or part‑time basis, as needed and as assigned.
  • Complete all documentation in a timely manner according to the Agency policies and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and provide necessary data for statistical and billing purposes.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers and make every attempt to resolve work‑related difficulties with the co‑worker in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate all concerns and questions regarding the program functioning and client care to immediate supervisors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all applicable Agency policies and procedures and function according to these standards.
  • Perform other assigned and related duties specific and customary to the department in which they are assigned.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Capacity for assessing, collecting, organizing, and reporting data.
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Skills in crisis intervention and emergency services.
  • Knowledge in the implementation of current applicable diagnostic standards.
