Jewish Family & Community Services is seeking an experienced LPCC or LISW for a part-time mental health counselor position. Office space provided. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Jewish Family & Community Services is a non‑profit Social Services agency which provides various programs including guardian ships, counseling and case management. Jewish Family & Community Services is a historic provider of social services and is a respected member of the Youngstown human services network. Jewish Family & Community Services is incorporated under the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, which supports and monitors the services and budget.
The Mental Health Counselor will help to support the daily operations of the organization and in accordance with policy, guidelines, and procedures set forth by the board of directors, government regulations, and health insurance providers to assure the highest degree of care continues to be provided. All operations, decisions and planning shall reflect the philosophy of the Jewish Family & Community Services Mission Statement.
- Offer counseling sessions to clients addressing a range of mental health concerns.
- Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and create a personalized treatment plan.
- Ensure a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for clients from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds.
- Adhere to agency record‑keeping standards, ensuring all documentation is timely, detailed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws at all times.

Must hold a current Ohio LPCC or LISW license. Ability to work with all ages and backgrounds. Candidates must pass FBI/BCI background check and drug testing.
