Overview
Customer Service Delivery Technician - Home Medical Equipment role at Bon Secours Mercy Health. The Customer Service Delivery Tech delivers and provides instructions on medical equipment in the patient’s home or place of residence. They follow established daily routines and ensure timely deliveries, comply with regulatory guidelines, and abide by departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Performs deliveries, pick-ups and exchanges of home medical equipment.
- Provides equipment instruction to patients and/or caregivers.
- Ensures equipment is appropriate for patient use and that the patient can operate the equipment.
- Assesses the home environment to identify problems, needs, and discusses safety issues with patients/caregivers and Merch Health leadership.
- Cleans, disinfects and maintains home medical equipment; cleans, restocks the delivery fleet; cleans warehouse and organizes stock inventory and shelves.
- Performs equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
- Performs daily vehicle inspections and completes logs. Reports any vehicle problems to the Supervisor.
- Completes all required paperwork by the organization and regulatory forms (e.g., route sheets, Haz Mat, analyzer logs, delivery tickets, and patient setup forms).
- Assists the Lead Customer Service Tech in new associate orientation.
- Adheres to safety and infection control policies and reports potential issues.

Valid state driver’s license (required) - Education
High School Diploma or GED (required) - Work Experience
3 months' experience and/or training in Home Medical Equipment or delivery experience with customer service background (preferred) - Delivery Experience and Home Medical Equipment Experience (preferred)
