What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Coordinate and implement credentialing and privileging activities for medical and allied health staff
  • Review and verify appointment and reappointment applications for compliance with standards
  • Document verification results and maintain accurate records in the credentialing software system
  • Evaluate discrepancies in verification information and elevate as necessary
  • Assist in organizing monthly Credentials Committee agendas to meet regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of general office administration experience in a business, education, or healthcare environment
  • Understanding of credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Associate's Degree
  • 3 years of experience in physician credentialing and privileging or a healthcare-related field
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Certification as a Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
