- Coordinate and implement credentialing and privileging activities for medical and allied health staff
- Review and verify appointment and reappointment applications for compliance with standards
- Document verification results and maintain accurate records in the credentialing software system
- Evaluate discrepancies in verification information and elevate as necessary
- Assist in organizing monthly Credentials Committee agendas to meet regulatory requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of general office administration experience in a business, education, or healthcare environment
- Understanding of credentialing and privileging requirements
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Associate's Degree
- 3 years of experience in physician credentialing and privileging or a healthcare-related field
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Certification as a Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
