• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and trauma-informed manner
• Answer and route incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or patient payments at time of service
• Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in the EHR system
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and appointment scheduling
• Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage front desk administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and correspondence

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or medical office training preferred
• Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or mental health front office setting preferred
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing basics
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
