We're looking for a data-driven, creative content marketer who's passionate about optimizing campaigns, telling stories through visual assets, and making a real impact in our county. This isn't your typical corporate marketing job; you'll promote Trumbull County and Northeast Ohio by developing and executing innovative content strategies across digital platforms, leveraging analytics to optimize performance. This role requires a combination of creative content creation, technical expertise, and data-driven decision-making to enhance Trumbull County's visibility, engagement, and lead generation through various digital channels, including SEO, social media, and e-commerce platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Paid Digital Advertising & Analytics:

  • Run and optimize search, display, and demand gen ads on Google and Microsoft platforms
  • Manage social media advertising on Facebook, Reddit, You Tube, and other platforms
  • Execute OTT (Over-The-Top) advertising on streaming platforms to reach cord-cutters
  • Analyze campaign metrics, conversions, keywords, and ROI to continuously improve performance
  • Build and maintain Looker Studio dashboards to track campaigns and website metrics
  • Manage integrations between CRM, analytics, and website using tools like Catchr.io, Zapier, and Looker Studios

SEO & Website Management:

  • Keep our website fresh with consistent content updates
  • Implement SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization for AI search) using tools like Yoast, SE Ranking, and ChatGPT
  • Optimize content for both traditional search engines and AI answer engines
  • Monitor search rankings and visibility

Content Creation:

  • Keep website home pages and You Tube channel updated regularly
  • Edit and optimize blog content for search performance
  • Edit high-quality video for social media, website, and campaigns (mobile and professional equipment)
  • Create engaging visual content including photography, graphics, audio, and multimedia
  • Contribute to marketing plan development and campaign strategy
  • Report and analyze marketing programs monthly, explaining conversions and optimization
  • Track marketing activities, leads, conversions, and ROI
  • Work with vendors on creative projects and proposals
  • Consult with marketing intelligence platforms (like Placer.ai) to identify trends

Community & Team

Collaboration:

  • Represent Trumbull County Tourism at meetings and events
  • Support local small businesses with marketing guidance
  • Work as part of our small, collaborative team (we all pitch in!)
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, partners, and staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of SEO, AI-SEO tools, and content optimization
  • Experience managing websites, CMS & CMR platforms and marketing automations
  • Strong grasp of online marketing strategies and social media platforms
  • Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to campaigns
  • Quick learner who adapts to new platforms and tech changes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Deadline-oriented and detail-focused
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience with analytics platforms (Looker Studio, Google Analytics)
  • Familiarity with integration tools (Zapier, Catchr.io)
  • Background in tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing
  • Copy-editing skills and familiarity with the creative process
  • Drone operation experience or willingness to get certified
