Position OverviewThe General Manager will lead day-to-day operations while driving the strategic growth, efficiency, and culture of the business. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who understands technical service environments and enjoys building processes, developing people, and growing a niche industrial business.
The General Manager will oversee operations, service delivery, team performance, and process improvement while working closely with ownership to expand capabilities, improve margins, and strengthen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of technical and administrative staff
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety‑focused culture
- Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards
- Promote open communication and continuous improvement
- Enhance and formalize operating procedures, workflows, and documentation
- Improve scheduling, service execution, and turnaround times
- Implement scalable processes to support growth
- Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in all service work
- Support business development efforts, including customer relationships and repeat service opportunities
- Identify opportunities for new services, efficiencies, and revenue growth
- Partner with ownership on short‑ and long‑term strategic planning
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for induction heating and melting equipment service and repair
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical or customer issues
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long‑term client retention
- Manage budgets, labor efficiency, and operational costs
- Review job costing, pricing, and profitability
- Oversee purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Experience leading operations or teams in a technical, industrial, or service‑based environment
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, or industrial systems
- Proven ability to implement processes and improve efficiency
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Background in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field
- Business management experience or formal business education
- Experience with induction heating, melting equipment, or power electronics
- Experience managing a small team in a hands‑on environment
- Engineering or business‑related education strongly preferred
- Ideal candidate:
