Job Title:
Welder Fitter Pay: $21–$26/hr
Hours:
7:00 AM–3:30 PM & 3:30 PM–11:00 PM

As a Welder Fitter, you'll play a key role in assembling and fitting steel structures and components, ensuring precision and quality in every project. You'll work closely with the production team to deliver durable and accurate metalwork results that meet client specifications.
What You'll DoAs a Welder Fitter, you will be responsible for
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, material lists, and specifications
• Laying out parts using squares, chalk lines, and soapstone
• Tack-welding components and constructing assembly jigs and outlines
• Positioning, shaping, and fitting parts with files, chisels, and grinders
• Heat-bending and shaping materials using acetylene torches
• Verifying assemblies with squares, rules, and calipers
• Following all safety and quality guidelines
• Completing finishing tasks such as annealing and brazing
What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One year of welding or fitting experience preferred
• Welding technical education is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to perform hands-on work in a manufacturing environment
• MIG welding experience with steel plate, pipe, or tube is a plus
• Open-root TIG welding experience is a plus
• Previous metal-fitting experience is preferred
