Job Description
$20 to $30 an hour, based on experience. Full-time, direct hire, 1st shift, at a tool and die shop in Youngstown.
The shop builds and repairs dies for its customers, and plastic extrusion die work is a big part of it. If you have built or repaired extrusion dies, you go to the top of the list. If your background is stamping dies or molds, we still want to hear from you. Strong toolroom and CNC machinists who want to move into die work are welcome to apply too.
The work:
- Build and repair dies from prints
- Run mills, lathes, grinders and EDM, both CNC and manual
- Fit, polish and finish die parts
- Program CNC machines when the job calls for it
You need:
- Hands-on tool and die, mold or die repair work, or solid toolroom machining
- Plastic extrusion die experience is a strong plus
- Progressive, transfer, compound dies or injection molds count too
- EDM experience
- CNC machining experience, and programming is a plus
- Able to read prints and hold tight tolerances
No degree required. Experience is what counts.
