Meridian Health Care is hiring for full-time Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join our organization in Youngstown, OH. Our providers are instrumental in promoting positive patient care and offering hope to residents in the Mahoning Valley. Starting yearly ranges from $99,000 to $140,000 pending licensure and experience.

- Diagnosing and treatment
- Performing medical examinations
- Administrating or directing health treatment procedures as appropriate
- Administrating or directing the administration of MAT and other health treatment procedures as appropriate
- Ordering labs or tests as necessary
- Consults with the CMO, Medical Director, and other Behavioral Health Providers on treatment of patients to ensure continuity of patient care
- Provide timely progress notes and other medical reports on all patients
- Assist with developing and/or implementing in-service training programs to upgrade staff knowledge regarding health concerns and new technology in health care, including substance treatment
- Develop policies and procedures regarding medical services and medical components of activities including research, service evaluation and quality assurance in collaboration with the Medical Director
- Provide prescriptions for medication within the scope of practice in collaboration with the Medical Director
- Collaborate with staff of other clinical departments to promote continuity of patient care
For Physician Assistants:
- Master's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure and Certificate of Authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ohio
- DOT Certification and X-Waiver preferred
For Nurse Practitioners:
- Master's degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; DEA Registration/Certification
- Current licensure and Certificate of Authority to practice as a nurse practitioner in Ohio
- FNP certification preferred
In addition to the above qualifications, all candidates should meet:
- BLS & ACLS certification
- 2+ years' experience in a family practice environment (preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff to provide quality patient care
- Behavioral health experience desirable
- Maintains required training in accordance with the MAT Act

RequirementsFor Physician Assistants:
