Job DescriptionYour Role at Raising Cane’s: The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in day-to-day operations of the restaurant and upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture in all areas of restaurant operations.
The work environment includes a fast-paced kitchen, extended periods of physical exertion, and interaction with customers. The role may involve inside and outside work in varied temperatures, working with food products, allergens, and equipment, and requires personal protective equipment where applicable.
Your Impact and ResponsibilitiesPurpose of the position:
- Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crew members
- Owns onboarding, status changes and payroll for all hourly crew members
- Creates crew member work and training schedules
- Manages performance of hourly crew members (development, coaching, documentation, performance management)
- Acts as manager on duty and opens/closes the restaurant
- Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
General to the role:
- Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
- Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
- Uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution and corrective action
- Deploys crew members during a shift
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Utilizes reward and recognition program for crew members
- Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval
- Ensures cleanliness and good working order of the facility
- Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements for Success:
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Problem-solving, goal setting and action planning abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; adaptable to new systems
- Willing to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends; travel as needed
- 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- New restaurant opening experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
- Possess a valid driver’s license
