As a Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of what we do: diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Caterpillar machines in the shop. Whether it’s a dozer, excavator, wheel loader, or haul truck, you’ll use your skills and experience to deliver top‑tier service that keeps our customers moving.
Responsibilities- Diagnostics and repair on heavy equipment, including Caterpillar engines and drive‑train components, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components to ensure optimal performance.
- Additional duties include servicing Air Conditioning systems, maintaining detailed service records, collaborating with fellow technicians on complex repairs, and adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment.
- Proficient reading and writing skills.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar engine and equipment lines.
- In‑depth knowledge of Caterpillar equipment applications, operations, and functions.
- Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician, Service Information System).
- Expertise in diagnostic, testing, adjustment, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on mechanical repair experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment.

Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50 lb pulling. Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions:
Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
