Benefits

Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.

Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule.

Position:
Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic

Ohio Valley Waste Service, Inc. (Atwater and Lisbon) is seeking a heavy truck diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy diesel trucks.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks.
Also service light service equipment and light trucks.
Typical repairs include but are not limited to: hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, electrical, and emission systems.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel trucks.
Employees must provide their own safety‑approved work boots.
Employees must provide their own tools and locking tool box.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required.
Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-75 lbs. for short distances.
