Summary:
Accountable for maintenance of all JAC Management Group, LLC Youngstown Facilities during day, evening, and weekend hours. This position could require split shifts as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Perform general maintenance and repair work in the Covelli Centre, Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Huntington Community Alley, and Wean Park to maintain the various structures including electrical systems, machines, pumps, heating systems, cooling systems, ice plant, storage vault, equipment, plumbing, furniture, windows, doors etc.
- Conduct daily inspection of doors, entrances, parking lots, elevators, snow conditions, HVAC equipment temperature control systems, ice plant equipment, water systems, and steam systems.
- Conduct weekly inspections of lighting, roof drains and flashing, cooling systems, chemical treatment, generators, and fire systems.
- Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and implement a computerized schedule, and update and improve preventative maintenance when new equipment or procedures are installed.
- Read and work from blueprints, sketches, schematic diagrams, and instruction manuals. Weld and perform carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work.
- Conduct monthly readings of utility meters, and fire systems, and clean-up mechanical and electrical needs.
- Operate all pieces of equipment pertaining to JAC Management Group, LLC Facilities (i.e., Zamboni, groomers, riding floor machines, forklift, plow truck, aerial lift, etc.)
- Utilize a network terminal to interface with and operate the building systems HVAC energy management systems.
- Supports, maintains, and supervises all computer and network related software, hardware and phone systems.
- Integrate safety practices into daily activities.
- Identify maintenance needs. Perform duties with minimum supervision or direction from others.
- Maintain inventory and order parts and materials for maintenance and operations. Prepare maintenance and operations inspection reports.
- Establish and adjust work assignments to meet operational needs.
- Conduct inspections of storage areas in order to maintain a neat, clean and well-organized area.
- Enforce JAC Management Group, LLC policies and procedures. Ensure conformance to safety, security, and sanitation regulations.
- Certification of building equipment (fire alarm, fire suppression, fire extinguishers, ventilation, hood systems etc.)
- Ability to supervise and manage/lead a team of part-time and full-time employees.
Position Requirements:
Education and/or
Experience:
(2) years experience in the public assemblies facilities industry is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of facilities' electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other systems.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
