Construction Project Manager – Monroe, LA
MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage assigned projects from quoting through final close‑out. The role includes coordination of schedules, staffing, contractors, procurement, budgeting, and customer liaison.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans and technical documents, answer questions on scope and timing, monitor costs and progress.
- Conduct pre‑hand‑off and post‑hand‑off meetings with sales and operations teams to clarify scope, set expectations, and capture lessons learned.
- Understand contract language and execute projects within contract scope.
- Plan, administer, and complete projects across functional areas such as facilities, operations, or administration.
- Manage assignments of varying length, complexity, and multi‑phase projects.
- Supervise staff, provide work direction, and verify payroll.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, designers, and subcontractors using RFI/Q/P process regarding cost, scope, staffing, scheduling, and change orders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute the project management plan and revise documents via structured change‑order process.
- Prepare project status reports and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Oversee all job‑site management activities of crews and subcontractors.
- Coordinate safety training, accident and injury investigations, and equipment incidents with the safety professional.
- Work onsite and travel to client job sites, directing all project activities.
- Develop detailed project schedules with milestones, deliverables, and dependencies based on business objectives, budget, scope, timeline, and risks.
- Facilitate weekly progress meetings, resolve issues, and communicate with stakeholders and executives.
- Maintain project files in SharePoint for continuity and historic documentation.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and adhere to MEI’s mission, vision, and values.
- Perform other duties as necessary and directed.
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction or machinery moving project management.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self‑directed, motivated, and a capable team player.
- Experience with MS Office and SharePoint.
- Valid driver’s license and clean background check.
- Ability to travel.

Project Manager must perform general physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials up to 50 pounds. Must work off the ground at varying heights, in non‑temperature‑controlled environments, outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
