Job Title: Assistant Director, Operations Control Center Ground

Department: OCC

Reports To: DOCC

Work Schedule: Full Time

Summary:

The Assistant Director of OCC Ground is responsible for managing and supervising all Kalitta Air ground and cargo operations. Works closely with the DO and DOCC to ensure the OCC operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of Kalitta Air's ground and cargo operations and maintain a close connection to daily operations.
  • Supervise OCC Managers and help ensure their duties and responsibilities are executed properly.
  • Serve as a liaison between Kalitta Air, vendors, customers, and strategic partners as required.
  • Coordinate with other departments to utilize best practices for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Provide briefings to senior management on daily ground and cargo operations of the OCC.
  • Supervise all ground and cargo operation training aids, directives, reports, forms, manuals, and other support materials for training and daily operations.
  • Assist in developing budgets and staffing requirements for ground and cargo operations.
  • Monitor performance of ground and cargo operations and update senior management accordingly.
  • Identify operational issues and deploy corrective actions as needed.
Education:

High School Diploma or GED;
College Degree Preferred

Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties within instructions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Five (5) years of airline operations experience
  • Three (3) years in a management or leadership role
Language/Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English
