Packing Line Operator

We’re looking for a focused Packing Line Operator to join our Finishing Department team for a 3‑day, 12‑hour work shift within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.

• Lead and direct team members
• Setup and troubleshoot all features of the automated line, including book reorientation device, book breaker, transfer, bump turn, packager, insert printer, film splicer, product stacker, two robotic cells and more as required
• Monitor product quality
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required
• Achieve production targets
• Review specifications to ensure product accuracy
• Assist with other duties as assigned

• Demonstrated ability to work with numbers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers and work on a team
• Ability to work for sustained periods of time, walking and standing and lifting up to 40 lbs repetitively and pushing or pulling up to 60 lbs
• Understanding of and consistent adherence to Health & Safety, Quality and Security standards

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous Motoman training is considered an asset
• Leadership skills in order to effectively lead a team
• Strong mechanical and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain productivity to meet production deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and produce accurate work
• Good working knowledge of lottery production
